Red Light Facial

Promote health and wellness with LED light energy that’s absorbed at the cellular level.

What is a
Red Light Facial?

A Red Light Facial radiates light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are absorbed by your skin cells over the course of a 30 minute session. This stimulus naturally aids in fighting against acne, promoting anti-aging skin properties, and easing muscular pain. Depending on the setting and desired effects, it can also be very beneficial for either stimulating the mind or relaxing brainwave activity.

Benefits Of A Red Light Facial

Promotes Anti Aging

Promotes Anti Aging

Red light emits energy directly into the 7th layer of the skin. This stimulates fibroblast cells, which are largely responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. With additional energy to support their function, improvements in skin elasticity and density are inevitable!

On the blue light setting, energy is sent directly into the 2nd layer of the skin, providing these cells with additional support to fight infections. Stronger skin cells can prevent breakouts from occurring and eliminate existing ones. More noticeable effects start to occur after the 6th session!

Encourages Deep Relaxation

Under the red light setting, the photoreceptors of the eyes absorb in the stimulus. Due to the wavelength properties of red light, a message is relayed back to the brain, triggering a relaxation of activity. It’s not uncommon for clients to nap during the full duration of the session when exposed to this setting of light.

On the blue light setting, the photoreceptors of the eyes absorb the stimulus and transmit a signal to the brain to increase nervous system activity. Clear thought processing and alertness increase as a result of using this setting around the face.

How does A Red Light Facial Work?

Step 1:

The Red Light Facial emits LEDs in high concentration from a panel that is naturally absorbed at a cellular level. Similar to how plants absorb sunlight to help create energy through photosynthesis, humans can absorb the energy found in light and use it to help with a variety of biochemical processes that occur at the cellular level. This process is known as photobiomodulation.

Step 2:

The device emits light that is absorbed by a specific body tissue based on the light’s wavelength properties. The longer the wavelength of light, the deeper its energy will reach inside of the body. For example, blue light is much shorter in wavelength and only penetrates into the 2nd layer of the dermis (skin).

Step 3:

Meanwhile, red light is longer in wavelength and reaches into the 7th layer of the skin. Applying these differences make a Red Light Facial a great multipurpose tool for anti-aging, acne relief, and muscular relaxation.

Red Light Therapy FAQ'S

A session is 30 minutes long.

A Red Light Facial uses a pulsing effect to help improve the absorption rate of energy from the light. This means a Red Light Facial will constantly switch from on to off at a very pace (although it happens so fast you can’t even tell). This results in a momentary exposure to blue light as the device switches from on to off to back on. As a result, you could expect exposure under this setting to be 90% red light, 10% blue light.

Arguably the best device to pair with a Red Light Facial is the CryoFacial. That’s because they both accomplish similar goals. The CryoFacial helps rejuvenate your skin and relax the body in an entirely different way than a Red Light Facial, making it the perfect solution to add on to any Red Light Facial experience!
